Sunday Recap 6-14-15

Its Sunday! And that means its time for a quick recap of the week.

I hit a massive depression for the past couple weeks. I’m sorry, dear fans, but gathering the will to get out of bed was hard as it is. It happens, and I’m actually forgiving myself for it. Well, not really, because there is nothing to forgive. I have bipolar, I have periods that are up and some that are down. It happens. *grins*
That being said, I’m slowly building myself back up. Its taking work. A great deal of work. But I’m determined to own my bipolar. I will, somehow, find a way to kick this shit in the ass. I’ve taken a writing/editing class, and am doing a mentoring class. It is my hope that these will help me out in both my writing and my life. Time will tell, but I’m feeling better today!
I did get two blogs posted this week. Find them below:

Wednesday Review: http://ow.ly/NZSua
Q&A Saturday: http://ow.ly/OgQS6

I have a short story sitting with a friend right now. She’s going to look it over and help me tighten it up. I’m hoping that I can find a home for it. If I don’t, look for it to be self-pubbed by the holidays.

That’s all for today!

Love and light to all,
Kat

Sunday Recap 5-24-15

Wow, what a week! This week we had all but Wednesday having posts. Monday we had a selection from my song list, Tuesday I had a special guest visit the blog, Thursday we had a bit of Inspirational Art, Friday had the features, and Saturday I answered someone’s burning question. Did you get all that? Good.

What happened behind the scenes, though kept me super busy! Can you believe I have chapter one done in Earth's Light? Yuppers, that's the honest truth. I have started the process of rewriting book one, so expect to hear more on that front soon!

This past week I've also been attending a class that covers editing. I've learned a great deal about using stronger verbs and more description in settings. I've also found that it is a horrid habit of mine to use certain words more than others. No worries, I've been plugging those words into my Scrivener and every time I use them they pop up yellow. Its been a great help!

I've also started a Street Team on Facebook for all my closest friends and supporters. It is in this group that I will look for beta readers once I'm done writing Earth's Light. Remember, folks, Earth's Thorn, book 2, is already finished and waiting only for me to edit it.

I'm fairly certain that November will see me participating in NaNoWriMo again, this time with Rose and Amir's story. Not sure on the title, but I'm leaning towards Earth's Passion.

That's all for now. I can't wait to give all of you more information on book one. (Or this super short story that I've written!) I'll update you all more next week, so until then, bu-bye!

Sunday Recap 5-17-15

This has been the busiest week I’ve had in a good long while on here! I’ve introduced many new series I’m doing on here, including the first Inspirational Music Monday, Takeover Tuesday, and Inspirational Art Thursday. Then I gave you a glimpse of fabulousness on Features Friday, and answered someone’s burning question on Q&A Saturday. Did you catch all that?

I’ve been busy trying to get this blog set up for a while so I can take a back seat and write. Don’t worry, it’ll happen soon! It has been rough with my daughter, trying to get her set for success in life. (Wow, that sounds more complicated than I mean, oh well.) I'm also working on trying to find a way to share out what I have done with her so that maybe someone else will benefit from our struggles. I'll do my best to keep everyone updated on her blog.

I was handed something on Friday: My current therapist is leaving to live in California. I'm going to miss her, but she's making sure she leaves me well set up on my Coping Book. That helps, a great deal, especially since my new doctor won't be working on the same things. I'll be sharing my coping book on my mental health blog so that others may benefit. (Its something I think everyone should have, whether or not they have been diagnosed with a mental disorder.)

I was also honored on Friday, with the publication of not one, but two interviews on Author Kelly Blanchard's blog! I'm incredibly honored, to say the least. Check out her spin on interviews by reading first my author interview, and then the interview with Raven himself. They're quite entertaining, from what I've been told!

Have you heard? I'm doing a author blogger takeover on the 26th at 8pmEST and 27th at 11pmEST! I'm super excited to hang out with all my fans and meet some new ones. I'm working on making the one short hour (each day) as fun as possible, and plan on having prizes. (If anyone wants to donate a prize, I'll be SO grateful!) Make sure to be there! You won't want to miss it. Oh, and did I mention this is my first time doing an event? Help me pop that cherry!

Well, that is all for this week. Stick with me, next week will bring more fun to be had!

Sunday Recap 5-10-15

Every Sunday I do a recap of the week I finished. Since this is my writing blog, I’ll stay off of most of my mental helath/physical health issues and stick to business.

Blogs:

I was able to get 2 blogs posted this week, though I do now have a decent amount of blogs scheduled to post for a bit in the future. I plan on continuing this until I can get a good few months scheduled in. Why? Because I have depressed periods of time and having things checked off my list makes me feel better when I need to take “Me time”. Those who know the person behind the author-colored-glasses know that I rarely do the whole “Me time” thing, so they understand how big of a deal this is. Trust me, I hate taking “Me time”.

Anywho, I did have two blogs go live this week:

If you wish a spot on my Friday’s Features, you can sneak in via the Application, my Facebook Author page, or by knowing the real me and hitting my personal Facebook page. If you have a question you’d like to ask me, comment below or find me in one of those other places. I can, and do, allow anonymous questions.

What else have I done this week? Actually, as far as writing, I haven't done much. Blogging has been getting the attention, and that's okay. I've been steadily writing material for all of you, and have been setting it all up to be published. This is a good thing, even if it may not seem so. Have faith that Nadia and Richard will have their story retold, soon.

That's all for now. Love and light to you all,
~Kat
