We are 10 days into NaNoWriMo, and I have breached the 20K mark. Not bad, if I must say so myself. But, at this point in time, I am extremely pleased with my story. Last year I was pulling my hair out by the roots and cussing and fretting. Even if I DID get a 67K word count last year, it was a difficult 67K. This year, while I may have had moments that drove me batty trying to figure out the how's and why's, I have found that it is much easier to write.
Of course, hearing some encouraging words from someone I admire has helped immensely, and has even calmed my nerves some. Yes, I'm still nervous. And yeah, I'm sure I'll be bawling my eyes out from the time I hit "send" until the time I get a response on Saturday, but I am doing better today, and I am so very grateful for that.
If you look to the right, you'll see some amazing blogs. Take some time and visit them. Each and every one of those blog owners has encouraged me in some way. Tell them thanks, would you? If you look further down you'll see some nifty NaNo graphics. Word Wars! So far (last I checked) I'm in the lead, but not by much! These ladies are doing a kick-ass job!
In other news: It has been decided! Book 3 will be titled: Earth's Love. This book will feature the chaotic relationship between Aphrodite Rose and Amir. I'll even delve into their history before showing you their romance. These two are close to my heart, and anyone who has known me back in 2008 knows why. I'm sure those who have been waiting this book will be happy to know that Amir is kicking my hind end to get it written. Rose, of course, is being her stubborn self. She wants it written, but she wants a completely different ending than the one Amir and I have in mind. Go figure.
Anywho, Aria and Callan are getting pissy, so off I go to revive the sleeping Nadia so that Aria and Callan can finish their story!
Do me a favor, though? Go out and makes those dreams come true. You deserve all the happiness in the world, and now is the time to go out and claim it for yourself!
:) So glad it's going well for you.
